The protesting students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) have returned the food brought by the teachers for the students on hunger strike. They returned the food on Monday (January 24) afternoon.

Earlier, the students returned the biryani brought by two councilors of Sylhet City Corporation.

The students thanked the two councilors and said, "We do not want to take food from anyone except the current and former students of SUST." But we are happy that you have come."

Meanwhile, the students did not allow Ilyasur Rahman, councilor of ward 8 of Sylhet City Corporation and Makhlisur Rahman Kamran, councilor of ward 9, to meet the vice-chancellor with five packets of food.

In this regard, Proctor Dr. Alamgir Kabir said, our students have been carrying out the non-violent movement. However, the students turned off the electricity at the residence of the vice-chancellor yesterday. This is causing problems for the vice-chancellor. He was sick for a few days. He is also a heart patient and has to take regular medication. So we brought some food and medicine to see him. But we are not allowed to go inside. I would urge my students to get out of this activity.
